Thanks to their low surface resistance, the new ESD cable carriers from Kabelschlepp reduce the risk of ElectroStatic Discharge. This applies to all environments where building up of static electricity resulting in sparks through electric discharge needs to be avioded. The material used in the new ESD cable carriers incorporates carbon nanotubes, microscopically small tubular particles made of carbon. The ESD cable carriers are more conductive and have a surface resistance of ≤ 105 ohms. Good conductivity is also achieved at the contact points between the chain links and thus over the entire length of the carrier.
