With the H-gantry and T-gantry high speed handling units, Festo combines the dynamics of a linear motor handling system with the costs of a toothed belt handling solution. The H-gantry high speed handling unit has a 3D/planar surface gantry that covers a square shaped working area, enables strokes of 2 meters and 1 meter in the X and Y direction and has a low centre of gravity. The T-gantry is a compact high speed pick & place unit that allows strokes in the X and Y directions of 1000mm and in the Z direction of 300mm. Both systems have a positioning accuracy of 0.2 mm.
