For a more flexible production and a better system availability, Wenglor introduces retro-reflex sensors using Light Band Technology. The goal is to provide a single sensor that precisely detects front edges of variously shaped objects, as well as objects with irregular or asymmetrical shapes (as in the field of intralogistics), even dark, transparent or glossy, at a range of up to 1.6m. Three models are available for different light band heights, levels of user-friendliness and special logistics functions. For example, they can prevent bottlenecks and jams in warehouse processes.

Teach-in key: a quick and simple initial start-up

The sensors with light band P1EL100 (27mm light band height), P1EL200 (42mm) and P1EL300 (54mm) have been designed as two-dimensional light barriers with homogenous laser light band. They can be quickly taught by pressing a key, which is located at a slightly recessed area on the housing to avoid inadvertent contact and to permit flush mounting. The teach-in key is particularly suitable for use on conveyor belts, as uneven conveyor belt areas can be easily suppressed. In addition, the sensor’s plug can be rotated up to 180° for flexible installation and matching mounting brackets, M4 through-bolts and press-fit sleeves.
