By introducing the SLV N series male headers Fischer Elektronik aims to meet the increased requirements on connectors with a1.27mm grid spacing. Available with a 0.4 mm cross section, the pin contacts feature a higher mechanical stability than the previous version with a 0.3 mm cross section. The narrow insulator has the same width as before; 1.25mm. The male headers are available with 1 to 20 contacts that are offered in gold- or tin-plated surface finishes in various lengths. As its insulators are made of a UL94 V-0 compliant high temperature plastic, the connector is suitable for lead-free reflow soldering. The male headers’ contact material is CuZn30. Safely functioning over –40 to +163°C, their material conforms to EC Directive 2002/95/EG (RoHS) and EC regulation 1907/2006 (REACH).
