Meggitt Sensors Opens new State-of-the-art Facility

Meggitt PLC and its Meggitt Sensing Systems division held a grand opening and ribbon-cutting celebration for its new location in Irvine, CA on Sept. 12. The 190,000-sq.-ft. facility houses the consolidation of operations from facilities in San Juan Capistrano, CA, and Londonderry, NH. Meggitt expects to grow the workforce to nearly 500 over the next five years with an investment of $24 million. The celebration was attended by senior corporate management, the consul generals of the United Kingdom and Switzerland, the mayor of Irvine, and representatives of state and national elected officials as well as the California Governors Office of Business and Economic Development.
