Detecting objects or accurately measuring fill levels – ultrasonic sensors of the UB*-F42 series from Pepperl+Fuchs can perform both tasks. They provide reliable data under challenging conditions. In addition to an IO-Link interface, the devices feature two push-pull outputs.
This combination is unique for sensors of this type. It allows the values of two switching outputs to be transmitted to the controller. At the same time, IO-Link enables very simple commissioning and parameterization, as well as the parallel transmission of process and status data. The latter can be used to optimize control systems and support predictive maintenance.
The ultrasonic measurement principle delivers stable performance and reliable measurements results despite potential external influences such as dust, dirt, or moisture. It detects target objects independently of their color, material, or surface properties. The devices of the UB*-F42 series are also designed for use in harsh environments, featuring an IP67-rated housing and metal connectors.
