As a part of the CamPerform-Cyclone Series, the Cyclone-16-300 camera by Optronis is a new high-speed machine vision camera using quad CoaxPress-12 interface. It transfers data (up to 300 frames/s at full resolution) via the CoaxPress-12 interface and implements this as a quad channel solution, thus, it can handle data rates up to 50 Gbit/s for real time image transfer. Due to high bandwidth of the CoaXPress-12 interface, at around 300 frames/s the camera still allows full resolution image transfer with 16 Mpixel. It is suitable for measurement applications due to the low noise level.

Higher frame rates are also possible by reducing vertical or horizontal resolution

The Cyclone-16-300 integrates the LUX160 CMOS image sensor and operates in global shutter mode. Available as monochrome or color version, the sensor exhibits low noise readout and consequently enables to acquire low light level images with good signal to noise ratio. The LUX160 sensor offers global shutter protection at high resolution of 4 672 x 3 416 Pixel. Regarding other cameras of Optronis CamPerform-Cyclone series, the Cyclone-16-300 delivers different image correction features and adjustment of exposure time and gain. Furthermore, lenses with different mounts can be installed.
