Absolute Encoders

Sendix SSI/BiSS absolute encoders with SIL3 / PLe certification, from Kübler, play a key role amongst the components of a safe plant. These absolute encoders obtain safe information about the absolute position. The controller counts the incremental pulses and compares the result with the absolute position, which has also been provided by the same encoder.
Furthermore the controller monitors the validity of the analogue, 90° phase-shifted sine/cosine signals with the help of the function sin²+cos² = 1. Sendix SIL-certified incremental and absolute encoders ensure a safe mechanical connection in the application. They feature a rugged, reliable interface and an ability to withstand high mechanical as well as electrical loads, thanks to extra strong bearings in the Safety Loc Design.
