The new PyroSigma from Calex is a miniature non-contact infrared temperature sensor for fixed installation. It continuously displays the measured temperature on a bright OLED display and is fully configurable via a built-in keypad. The sensor works by detecting the thermal IR radiation that objects naturally emit due to their own temperature.

The temperature range is from 0°C to 1000°C

It provides a configurable, linear voltage output (selectable 0-5, 1-5 or 0-10 V DC) of the measured temperature, for connection to an indicator, controller or PLC. Surface temperatures from 0°C to 1000°C are measured with a fast response time of 240 ms. Accuracy is ± 1.5°C or 1.5%, and repeatability is ± 0.5°C or 0.5%. The sensor is extremely small at just 29 x Ø 31 mm.
