Resolve Optics has supplied a varient of its Model 357 non-browning zoom lens to DEKRA Visatec to enable them to offer a radiation resistant inspection system based on their VT XLRAD-10 PTZ camera. The new compact inspection camera system has proven in testing to offer great image quality and the possibility for close up pictures in high radiation environments. Its motorized HD zoom lens allows to set inspection of hot cells and nuclear fuel rods.

Equipped with non-browning glass

This camera system uses selected non-browning glass to produce clear images without any yellow tint that may occur when using radiation resistant lenses on color sensors. The non-browning glass withstands exposure to radiation up to 100,000,000 radians and temperatures to 55° without discoloration. The Model 357 is a 2/3-inch format that operates at f/3.6 and delivers minimum geometric distortion from 400 to 770 nm. In addition, it can image objects from 1.5 meters to infinity, in which the lens can achieve high image resolution at full aperture throughout the zoom range without refocusing.
