Measuring Photoelectric Sensor

With IO-Link interface

    IFM O8

The O8 from IFM Electronic is a measuring photoelectric sensor that suits handling technology and robotics, where space is substantial. Through its new IO-Link interface, the switch point can easily be set, and it can provide a continuous distance value (to the nearest millimeter). The sensor has a color-independent operating principle and a background suppression with a diode array that allows measuring reliable distance and correct detection of small, flat or reflective objects.

Quick mounting and continuous distance value

The O8 can detect objects at a distance of up to 80 mm and transmit data to the controller via the IO-Link Interface. If the object recognition is not possible, this means absence or wrong installation. In addition, it can be quickly mounted with one M3 screw.
