The new Sirius3RM1 motor starter from Siemens offers a space-saving starter solution which combines two different connection technologies in a single device. The dual connection facility simplifies engineering, maintenance and installation of the motor starter in the control cabinet. By offering a combination of push-in control circuit connection and screw-type main circuit connection, the motor starter affords flexibility in different applications. If required, the detachable dual-connection technology terminals can also be individually exchanged, affording greater convenience when working with existing wiring installations. The push-in alternative uses a spring-loaded mechanism for rapid connection without the need for tools. The push-in method also ensures vibration-proof connections in the control circuit. This eliminates the need for regular checking and tightening of the kind required with screw connections, reducing the maintenance load. In the main circuit, screw connection technology allows the use of the three-phase infeed system. The infeed system links groups of motor starters up to a total current of 25 amperes. The special shape of the busbars combined with the use of screw connection technology allows individual motor starters to be removed from the feeder network or reintegrated as required.
