The ProLink condition monitoring system (CMS) from Schaeffler is a flexible and modular solution with intuitive configuration comprising intelligent, machine-specific templates. It helps monitor production facilities in numerous sectors, including the paper and steel industries and machine tools. This system features a high level of signal and analysis quality to help users operating in machine and facility monitoring without expert knowledge in signal recording or vibration analysis. Consequently, the user enters only basic data for the components to be monitored via a web browser and with the help of an intuitive configuration assistant.


A universal gateway connected to digital services


During its self-learning test phase in operation, ProLink CMS automatically defines the alarm thresholds for up to 100 operating points for each machine based on its speed and load conditions. It provides the customer with frequency-selective detection of bearing and gearbox damage or imbalance. The system includes a main processor module for signal processing and a range of signal recording modules comprising a vibration measurement module that can have up to 16 channels. It can be universally integrated into the customer’s infrastructure through a plug-in field bus module, supporting OPC/UA and Profinet.
