The LMT hygienic point level sensor from ifm electronic supresses deposits and foam, making a reliable limit detection possible for food industry applications. This sensor enables precise full or empty signals of tanks and ensures run-dry protection of pumps. The surface characteristics of the PEEK tip of the sensor is Ra < 0.8 µ. Adherence of dirt and residues of media is hardly possible. Even for viscous and sticky media such as ketchup this point level sensor operates reliably. There is no need to adjust the sensor to different fluid types. The sensor is made of high quality materials such as 316L stainless steel and PEEK. Flush sealing is ensured by pressing the PEEK tip onto the sealing edge of the adapter thus avoiding dead bands and contamination. This sensor is EHEDG approve and 3A certified.
