R+L Hydraulics has developed a Web app for configuring and calculating hydraulics assemblies. The new program will be presented for the first time at this year's Hannover Messe trade fair. The newly developed Fluidware App is an online application for calculating layouts of subassemblies, consisting of bell housing, shaft coupling and accessories. Uniting the functions of conventional configuration software with additional design, sales and service functions in a single application, the web app can be used either with a web browser on a desktop PC or on a tablet.

The heart of the new Fluidware App is the Configurator, with which users can create the layout of their assembly using a drop-down menu. A text search function for saved data and keywords makes it easy to find the required components. The Configurator guides the user through each configuration step from start to finish. The web app automatically generates a drawing of the configuration in real time, allowing an instant visual verification of the result. The dimensions on the drawings can be displayed and printed in metric units or inches, and the power rating can be specified in kW or HP.

All configured layouts can be named and saved in the Project Browser. The saved configurations can be called up at any time through the quick navigation function or opened from the Project Browser for further use or editing. The Project Browser also provides an overview of all documents created with the app, ordered by document type, so that users can access their layouts, offers, orders and configuration CAD files any time and anywhere.

With the Price Info module, the current prices for the created configurations can be called up instantly. Through the user's customer number, the Fluidware App can display user-specific prices. In addition to viewing price details in the parts list, the selected configuration can also be ordered directly from R+L Hydraulics.

Once registered with basic details such as name, address, company name and e-mail address, users can simply log in to the app with their user name and password. The user interface language can be set and saved; available languages include Chinese, Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, Russian and Spanish.
