The EE100Ex from E+E Elektronik is an intrinsically safe humidity and temperature sensor designed for gas explosion hazard areas (up to zone 1). Compliant to European ATEX directive 2014/34/EU and also IECEx standards, it is dedicated for demanding climate and process control. The EE100Ex fits the temperature class T4 for intrinsically safe equipment and can be mounted directly in hazardous area with an IP65 aluminum enclosure and a wide choice of filter caps. This sensor delivers highly accurate measurement of relative humidity (RH) and temperature (T) in the range 0 to 100% TH and -40°C to +60°C.

Suitable for utility tunnels, hazardous storage rooms, or the pharmaceutical industry

Featuring a robust sensing head, proprietary E+E sensor coating and encapsulated measurement electronics inside the probe, it grants high measuring performance and long-term stability in challenging conditions such as corrosive environment. The sensor has two galvanically isolated and configurable 4 to 20 mA, 2-wire outputs. It also calculates the dew point (Td) and frost point temperature (Tf). Moreover, it can be powered by any safe power source or via Zener barriers. Last, an error indication at the analogue outputs facilitates troubleshooting in case of a malfunction, in compliance with the NAMUR standard.
