In response to the changed situation in the market the V-Drive+ Servo Worm Gearhead has been developed. They meet every possible requirement for resource-efficient servo applications for applications where space is very restricted. A prominent feature is that the reduction in circumferential backlash, otherwise unavoidable with worm gear units in the course of the service life, has been reduced to < 3 arcmin. This has been achieved by optimizing the special concave-profile teeth. The concave teeth also assure consistently high positional accuracy giving up to 50% more torque. The unit is available in 4 sizes (centre distance: 050, 063, 080, 100), 6 reduction ratios (mathematically precise / 4, 7, 10, 16, 28, 40) and offers several output variants: hollow shaft (VDH), solid shaft (VDS with SP flange): smooth, slotted, involute, a flanged output (VDT) and the option of an output on one or both sides (VDS).

The V-Drive economy series with a circumferential backlash < 8 arcmin is an economical alternative to the V-Drive+. This gearhead family is likewise based on the concaveprofile tooth principle, which unites very high torques with efficiency unrivalled by other worm gearheads. It’s available in 2 sizes (centre distance: 050, 063), 5 reduction ratios (mathematically precise / 7, 10, 16, 28, 40) and offers several output variants: hollow shaft (VDH), solid shaft (VDS without SP flange): smooth, slotted and the option of an output on one or both sides (VDS).

Whereas the V-Drive+ is designed for precise applications the V-Drive Economy range is suited for applications requiring less precision.
