Wago has added another 2-channel analog output module to its Ex-i portfolio for connecting actuators in areas subject to explosion. The module is approved for the highest safety level Ex [ia] and is therefore suitable for all actuators in Zones 0, 1, and 2. The 2-channel analog output module installed in Zone 2 offers a signal current of 4 to 20 mA. Similar to the 750-585 with 0 to 20 mA, the 750-586 is both ATEX and IECEx certified. Thus the use of actuators in areas subject to explosion - in mining and in atmospheres where gas and dust may accumulate, for example - is guaranteed to be safe. The outputs of both analog output modules are designed to resist short circuits. In addition, the field and system levels are galvanically isolated from one another. In the course of the approval process for the 750-586, the safety level of the 750-585 was also re-categorized from Ex [ib] to Ex [ia].
