The KinetiMax 54 EB is another family member in the KinetiMax brushless outer rotor motor range that was recently introduced by Allied Motion. The new, bidirectional brushless DC motor with integrated speed control drive has a robust bearing system capable of handling high side loads. As an improvement on the already existing version, this brushless DC motor has speed control, temperature protection and a reverse polarity protection. Another new benefit is the fact that the motor is bidirectional. It has an output up to 16W at a constant speed of 3900 RPM. The device is available with two different outputs of 10 and 16 Watt. The motors have different lengths: the 30 mm version has a 30 mNm continuous torque rating, whereas the longer 37 mm version has a 40 mNm continuous torque rating. Because of the outer rotor concept of the motor, combined with the integrated drive, this new and improved model is ideal for small membrane and peristaltic pumps, high-end fans and conveyor systems in medical or industrial applications, in which a long operating life is required.
