Kastaş Sealing Technologies has developed the KKB Composite Guiding Tape to meet the requirements of modern hydraulic systems operating under demanding conditions. KKB is manufactured from a high-performance composite material consisting of synthetic fibres reinforced with a specially formulated polyester resin (PR6504). This composite structure is produced to ensure optimal mechanical strength, superior wear resistance, and excellent dimensional stability.

High media coompatibility

Compared to conventional thermoplastic guides (like PA and POM) and standard composite materials, KKB offers the highest load-bearing capability in its class. While many guiding tapes suffer from deformation under thermal stress, KKB maintains its form stability and load-bearing performance significantly better than comparable materials, even when operating temperatures exceed 80°C, with a full service range of -40°C to 120°C. The optimised composite structure provides a low coefficient of friction, helping to reduce energy losses and minimise stick-slip effects. Furthermore, thanks to its minimal swelling characteristics, it offers exceptional compatibility with a wide range of media, including mineral oils, water-based fluids (HFA, HFC), and environmentally friendly hydraulic fluids. This makes it an ideal solution for applications where standard materials often face limitations due to fluid interaction.

KKB Guiding Tapes are manufactured with tight tolerances to ensure a precise fit in the groove. They are supplied in coils and spirals, providing users with the flexibility to cut to size for efficient assembly and reduced downtime. This allows for easy integration into both standard and application-specific hydraulic cylinder designs, including heavy-duty cylinders and large-diameter systems.
