Multi-Input/Output for Discrete Signals
Multi-Input/Output for Discrete Signals

Designed for valve control, overflow monitoring, rotary equipment, or NAMUR switches (and generally all discrete process industry signals), FieldConnex multi-input/output (MIO) from Pepperl+Fuchs can connect four different signal types to any control system via digital communications. This compact fieldbus product with rugged design provides intrinsically safe inputs and outputs for discrete signals in Zone 0 and Division 1, with four different functions (MIO comes also with certification for installation in Zone 1 and Div. 2).

Great functionality for discrete signals in any hazardous area

FieldConnex MIO can be set up to monitor and control four different types of discrete signals through digital communications via Foundation Fieldbus H1 and Profibus PA protocols. It can monitor status of up to 12 NAMUR sensors, indicate position feedback and automatic partial stroke test, connect signals from vibration limit switches, and collect signals from pulse and frequency signals. In addition, it delivers intrinsically safe ignition protection for sensors in Zone 0/Div. 1, as well as condition monitoring for lead breakages, short circuits, valve breakaway, and runtimes facilitates needs-based, targeted maintenance. FieldConnex MIO is available in aluminum, glass fiber reinforced polyester, and stainless-steel enclosure variants or for installation on DIN mounting rails.
