From igus GmbH comes now the EBRM-16 V plastic rod end bearing with metal reinforcement. This maintenance and corrosion free, lightweight and chemical resistant rod end bearing is not only cheaper than stainless steel components, but also allows 50% more tensile load compared to the pure plastic rod end bearings. Furthermore it is insensitive to dirt, dust and fluff, and it allows an increase of the maximum tensile load from 10.000 up to 15.000 N, which corresponds to the average weight of two cows.
