WAGO launched new PROFIsafe modules with iPar functionality of which the safety-oriented functions can be easily set and configured. Via a PROFIsafe-compliant iPar server, parameters can be automatically downloaded to the controller. The 3 new models support the tool calling interface up to conformance class 3 and can be used in connection with PROFIBUS as well as PROFINET. Filter times, discrepancy monitoring, valence, short-circuit, and cable break can be configured for one- and two-channel applications. The 4FDI 4-channel input module is 12 mm wide, the 8FDI 8-channel input module and the 4FDI/4FDO 4-channel input/output module are 24 mm wide. The module and I/O status are indicated by LEDs. The 4FDI/4FDO module has a maximum output current of 2 A and the module is designed for a total current of 8 A.
