DS7 is a two-phase actuated soft starter series of switchgear from Eaton Moeller, with a tool less plug connection, ensuring easy connection and wiring with other switching devices such as motor-protective circuit breakers or motor protective relays. It comes with a patented startup procedure ensuring faster startups with a more even and stronger torque. In order to allow more startups per hour the DS7 can be fitted with a fan inside the device so that the external dimensions remain unchanged. The soft start of the DS7 ensures a jerk-free increase in torque and effective current reduction in the startup phase. The DS7 provides diagnostics functions that can be evaluated remotely via a SmartWire-Darwin interface. Nine device versions for motor ratings from 1.1kW to 15kW/ 400V or 3A to 32A/ 480V are available.
