Aremco's Corr-Painttm CP3015-AL is a new high temperature coating system used to provide corrosion protection of carbon steel structures found in refractory lined rotary furnaces and automotive and industrial exhaust systems to 1300 °F. The product is formulated using an advanced, waterborne, proprietary silicate binder system filled with a blend of aluminum and ceramic corrosion inhibiting pigments. This new formulation provides exceptional high temperature corrosion resistance on cst iron and carbon steel. It is a single part coating system that is supplied in a ready to use viscosity of 250-900 cP with a solids content of 36.8% by weight and 19.1% by volume. It is applied easily using conventional spray equipment and cures in 2 hours at 200 °F plus 1 hour at 500 °F. The coverage rate is 309 ft2/gal at a dry film thickness of 0.001" (1 mil). Cleanup of uncured coating is accomplished easily using warm water.
