Repair Compound

A high temperature sealer and metal repair compound by Aremco Products, Pyro-Putty 2500 is used to bond and repair cast iron and steel components used in automotive, truck, marine, and industrial applications to 871°C. A ceramic and iron filled single part, black pigmented paste it suits component defects up to 6.35mm in cross-section. Water-based material that contains no volatile organic compounds, it will not decompose at high temperatures. It sets at room temperatures and cures in-situ or by heating to 93°C for 2-4h. The compound can be lightly machined then painted after curing. Typical applications include repairing and sealing afterburners, boiler casings, casting, heat exchangers, exhaust manifolds, flanges, headers, incinerators, molds, and mufflers.
