Suitable for industrial applications, Lika’s range of linear encoders combines high performance with rugged mechanical design and a broad choice of options. These incremental and absolute linear encoders use magnetic sensing technology and can achieve high protection rates (IP67 to IP69K). 


Maintenance free operations and PCB protection methods


As a result, they operate without contact and deliver virtually wear-free and maintenance-free operation, and the magnetic technology is effectively immune against light, oil, grease, water, and other external interferences. In addition, the magnetic technology allows to use PCB protection methods such as encapsulating, tropicalization, conformal coating or varnishing. The encoders have a modular structure that results in a readhead and a magnetic tape that are not in contact in order to lower vibrations, shocks and mechanical stresses. They can constitute an alternative to optical encoders.
