Designed for OEM applications, Micro-Epsilon introduces its confocal sensor confocalDT IFS2404-2, which provides high resolutions at a small light spot size (diameter of 12 mm) thanks to innovative lens. It is ideal for high precision distance and thickness measurements of transparent materials.  

Confocal sensor that enables precise thickness measurements

ConfocalDT IFS2404-2 operates on a non-contact and therefore wear-free basis while the active exposure regulation feature in the CCD line accurately and rapidly compensates for changing surfaces. Data is output in real time via an EtherCAT interface. The thickness calibration feature enables precise thickness measurements across the entire measuring range of the sensor.
