Small shock absorbers by ACE can be made safer by providing hermetic sealing against aggressive fluids. The new Protection series includes the three dampers PMC 150EUM, PMC225EUM and PMC600EUM, whose sealing system is completely sealed against the outside using new special PTFE protective caps. The caps exploit the high reaction inertia of its material which is also known as Teflon. The protective functions of the caps are additionally strengthened by the form and design, which is similar to a bellows. Their task is to prevent the leaking of cutting and bore oil as well as coolant lubricant and cleaning agents into the sealing system of the small shock absorbers.
